Keep smiling

Obraz
When summer is left behind, days became short and gloomy all we need to survive is just a smile. But you may say: how to smile when you feel angry, frustrated or depressed and everything around seems to be against you.   It is not always easy to smile but can be possible and at last it brings immediate positive effects. So how to introduce this marvellous but not original receipt into practice. First of all you must forget   of something like fake smile. Apparently the smile that is not spontaneous cannot cheers-up but in reality a “mask of happiness” can transform your face and became natural since the movement of small facial muscles activated during smiling stimulate secrecy of neuropeptides, the “feel-good neurotransmitters”: endorphins and serotonin. The serotonin serves as mood lifter and also helps work your brain better because when you relaxed instead of finding difficulties you are likely find solutions. When it seems to you so hard to stay smiled, just look around you a

The rythym in caos

Tricolori , simbolo dell’Italia is sharing two of three colours with Polish flag. What else do we share with Italian? How do we differ? I’d like to show it on the examples of the traditional cuisine, food, eating habits. Morning When I wake-up in the morning one of the first think I do is to prepare caffetiera . I love waiting my coffee and listening the sound when it’s coming out, making characteristic a sound, it seems to saying me : Have a good day!. Traditional Italian coffee makes by moka or express is one of the most delightful things that exist (a bit of exaggeration, yes, but it is truth). In Italy coffee is basic for the breakfast, Italians take it with few biscuits or croissants, while   Poles do it during after- lunchtime hours. Noon In Italy all over the country between 12 and 15 there is an obligatory   break for lunch. The streets became empty, restaurants crowded, Italians are dedicating themselves to the second national religion, the kitchen. In Poland some

Italy to share

February, ugly weather, no sun, all these things make me think to travel where the climate is mild, to Italy perhaps, if not in reality at least mentally. The Mediterranean climate   attracts crowds of people all over the year. Bel Paese however is appreciated for many other reasons, it is enough to mention the sea, the mountains, the food, the architecture. It is just at the latest I’d like to stop at a while, but to be more specific, not because of the spectacular palaces, cathedrals or churches but inspired by the charm of little towns which have never stopped to please me. The Italy occupies vast areas and the North, the Center, the South differ significantly among them but the urbanistic system of small towns have its origins in Italian organisation of medieval   comuni which have left it traces till nowadays. In Italy wherever you go, every urbanistic arrangement is concentrated around the square market well known as piazza close to municipio (town hall). Piazza is a h

Not proper for Christmas, but advisable for distraction

Even though now is a moment favourable for rather light matters I’d like to share with you my interest for cinema of rather tough genre. Generally I prefer European movies but if I was asked to choose the American movies that impressed me the most I would choose:   Donnie Brasco,  Scarface Goodfellas, God Father . All titles mentioned before are linked by some features they treat: the   problem of mafia in USA, the stereotype of Italian family dedicated men, the playing of actors with Italian roots like: Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Joe Pesci. I have seen all these cinematographic masterpieces several times and they always get me involved. The problem of the mafia never gets older and what is terrifying, the mechanism of how it works is indestructible.   We can observe a model civils that takes wrong path and the cruelty of mafiosos. What astonish the most, is that personalities of the main protagonists, merge a violence against their victim with a tenderness and lim
